St Matthew Passion

Took Seán to music which he enjoyed although he fell over a couple of times and was tired - maybe he is teething again. After a quick lunch to Hinsley Room for afternoon of spirituality day on Lazarus with Fr Robin. The highlight of the day was listening to the rehearsal of the Bach. To Marks for tea and food and then back for 6.30. A moving and memorable event. Fr Damian behind me. I remarked on what a Muslim would make of it all and he said probably say it didn't happen but like the music! Margaret Tobin, Sylvia and Hannah very chatty at the break. Glad I took my cushion and there was just enough light to follow the score! The boys did exceptionally well and so did the various soloists including Reuben. Ian wasn't singing. Very impressive counter tenors.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
