To Dennis's to put in the flowers Liz ordered (Dennis and Ann Marie in fact arrived on Wednesday evening) then to Bromley library where I got 18 scores - only a couple could not be found in the stack. Checked Senate House catalogue and reserved Balham ones via Daniel. To the dentist walking from the closed to traffic Tennyson Road bridge. The dentures looks good and fit very well. Got tram from Woodside and train from Elmers End so arrived at the Coliseum early. The secret seats were in the stalls and the opera was marvellous. Great production and singing and lovely music. I think this must be one of the most enjoyable visits to the ENO I have ever experienced and this on the night the Arts Council announces cuts. Tube and overground to Acton by 11.
Slept well and to music for the last time this term as the family go to Egypt next week. Sean said "A bell" when it was rung in the bag! He enjoyed it and had lunch and I had cappuccino. Got some petrol. The new windows went in upstairs but the frames are a concern. We went to St Charles park and had a sandwich in glorious sunshine. The boys loved the water park and then we went to the play area where there was a water table. At home I read The Gruffalo 8 times in all and Sean got grubby in the newly paved garden. We got home around 8.15 and watched some Wimbledon and the last programme on the Royal palaces and a programme on Windsor castle.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
