16/9 bagels for breakfast on balcony. To Bowling Green to get on ferry past Statue of Liberty to Ellis Island fascinating. treasures from home, citizenship ceremony taking place in main hall with national anthem. Immigration process. Audio guide good. Ferry back to NY and walked to Museum of Jewish heritage which is excellent. Beautiful objects, holocaust distressing but well presented. Killing of children awful. Post WWII Jewry. Andy Goldsworthy Living stones. Had nice cake. Skyscraper museum interesting bonus. Singapore green cities. Whitney museum of American art is an amazing space. 2 floors of portraits incl Hopper, John's, Warhol and fine sculpture on outside areas. Stuart Davis artists from 20s lovely colours. Sophia Al-Marvin's Black Friday unimpressed. Met Brennon as we got back at 8. Tired. High Line is great!

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep!
