Bridget West played well at St John's. 90 minutes journey to Acton 30 minutes outside Clapham Junction. Last night Southern could not agree on cause of delay of 30 minutes. Driver started with congestion into Victoria then blamed signals. At station the board said dealing with emergency t caused it. Why not just say We can't run anything? Now they say bear with us as we upgrade. Why should we? They should lose the contract full stop. A hot day cataloguing in the library. 6 volunteers and a good meeting with Anna and Reading co-coordinator so feeling much happier. Decided not to go to V and A and Exultet at Hammersmith home for a shower and rest. My right big toe hurts.Sean commented this morning "Why are you still here Grandad?" I am afraid I found the walk to school a bit of a trial not being in sandals and cooler clothes. Sir Tony Robinson on Salisbury cathedral very interesting. BBC Young musician woodwind very high standard and a worthy winner. Liked bassoon and clarinet and 14 year old recorder was amazing. Saxophone won.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep!
