Father's day

Played Boellmann Suite gothique and we sang Be still my soul and St Andrew's hymn. I did not attempt the toccata but had a first go at Howells Psalm Prelude Set 1 no 1 often played by Dad. To lunch at Faber Fox Westow Street - parked outside! The food was reasonable but not outstanding. We sat in the garden but saw a rat twice which appeared unbothered by so many people and 2 dogs. Unimpressed that Darren is now refusing to pay towards the removal of rubbish because his mess was not taken. Everybody else paid. Bruce rang. Ashley Grote playing well at St Edmundsbury.

Monday SMITF and Blackfriars. Colette's meeting. Seems Portsmouth and Southwark now have environmental leads. Why is this kept a secret? Various emails sorted out and draft programme for Sunday. Bruce still has not sent out invite for Thursday! What is wrong with him? Carl Jackson played at Cornhill. Evensong SMITF Byrd and Purcell.  Coton Manor garden. Lovely meditation with Richard Carter. Balham experimenting with zoom from the club. Devon and Cornwall and the Pennine Way.

Tuesday nurse came early. SMITF and Blackfriars. Took quilt to dry cleaners. Picked up Henry. He got told off for undoing his seat belt and later revealed that he was allowed to do it but I said No Granddad does it. Coloured in flowers for fridge, letters, lego and stories. Took shirts back to Sainsbury's. Coleridge-Taylor clarinet quintet RAM. Piano and jigsaw and exercises. Endured FTIL AGM in order to raise 2 matters which of course got referred to the committee. 8 people thanked Alan Gadd which frankly was too much. Too late for Croydon circle! Repair shop. Bidding room X 2.

Wednesday. Finished one McCall Smith and started another on kindle! Laugh out loud stuff! SMITF Sally was too quick again, Blackfriars, St John's. My CSN article is published on ICN. Stuff into shed including ladders. Meditation. Peta from Jerusalem at Sion centre. Fell over doing the bins. I cooked dinner from Hello Fresh Thai Larb style pork salad with fragrant rice and cucumber salad. Excellent Salford interfaith forum on climate crisis. Tandridge circle meeting. Bidding room and evensong from Rugby school.

Thursday  Blackfriars, SMITF, St John's. Birth of John the Baptist. Zoom run through for Sunday only 3 came! SLIFG 11 there for Isabel Losada. She was good. Churches trust counter witchcraft marks, St Swithun Worcester. SMITF sea faring music. My left shoulder and left buttock hurting from yesterday's fall. Westminster Abbey evensong. Cooked baked chorizo and sweetcorn risotto - it was delicious. Wimbledon circle and found out about Sarah Tobin at Sacred Heart Live simply award to be presented this Sunday.
