Checked out parking at Park Hill soc ame home for salad and cappuccino and went back for 1 p.m. About 12 climate activists there and Ian Morris was there. Met Maria who remembered me from Addiscombe and Dusack and his wife. Rescued car at 2. Blackfriars, evensong from St Mary's cathedral Edinburgh. Tweaked recital programme. Printed off Dad's music which Ann had found and scanned some more for Alan. I had one of the Christmas songs for Mum. Ann has found some more of Dad's music so I have scanned the ones I have. He wrote a song for Mum every Christmas in the War and sent it to York. It's odd that he never played or sang these at our Christmas singalongs. Perhaps he didn't think they were very good? It might be of interest to World War II freaks, RAF types?

The Stravinsky prom with LSO and Sir Simon Rattle was clearly well attended and actually worked well as a concert. We had an "expert" on TV who said some sensible things! BBC4 showed a great collection of BBC clips of Sir Simon - loved the Hoffnung concerto 1976!

Monday B, SM. Henry came for 2 and half hours - we a bit stroppy at times especially at the start but we did a lot of art work, garden and singing songs. Excellent talk by David on the latest report. Prom Argentinian flute and guitar. Alan sent first quote. Tannhauser 2019 Bayreuth wierd production but lovely singing and playing. Subtitles Act 2 only! Balham Catenians meeting hybrid worked well. Only connect, University challenge.
