Set off early to Crystal Palace did not realise that there was no need for me to go down to the beach volleyball courts so a waste of time! Back in time for morning prayer. Bishop Peter Brignall. David McLoughlin excellent and so was Sr Margaret Atkins! Prayer from Bristol with Bella (sat in garden). Music from SMITF no Blackfriars for some reason. Nice video from the pilgrimage. Friday woke in the night again twice. Took Ciaran to Crystal Palace and he was chatty about his class who are not competitive. He says he does not like people who dominate and push in - I agree! Even now I can find it hard to get into a conversation! Blackfriars (technical hitch yesterday) and end of SMITF. Nicholas King, Fleur Dorrell and Bob Hurd all excellent. Mark Brafield playing well at St Edmundsbury. Played Flanders and Swann. Walkure Acts 1 and 2 from Bayreuth set in Azerbaijan taken over by Russia for the oil. Prommers zoom. Plaice and chips.

Saturday Nazareth from Richard's lovely flat, Blackfriars, Ciaran and I enjoyed oil painting. His first effort was very good - he likes sketching. I did lilies. Heard 3rd act of Walkure and checked the scene which was unusual to say the least. The producer imposed revolution on the Ride of the Valkyries. Superb playing. Lovely chocolate pavlova with cherries, apple crumble, Shepherd's pie. Death cafe. Blackfriars Solemnity of St Dominic Fr Timothy Radcliffe preaching. Monday Liz to Guys. SMITH and Jeff is back after his op. Mary Sumner. Blackfriars Edith Stein. Dennis came to pick up Henry and had collected Molly. Sean and I set off for the Horniman and we were early. We parked near across the main road. Enjoyed the musical intruments in the garden. Monkey business was excellent and we both learned a lot. Bought a monkey in shop and had cappuccino and muffin. Sean chose a lunch box. Home in time for Colette's session then painting in the garden - psychedelic monkeys! Had a rest. Garden Start of Parsifal from Bayreuth. Quiet time. Sean on his Ipad! Finished McCall Smith - nice twist at the end! Prom Sibelius and Schumann.

Wed took Sean once we got him ready to Dunraven school for the day camp. It turns out it was the lower school so ended up walking round the block carrying his bag. Luckily I had my stick. Down Purley Way to Caterham. Penny Veness quite jolly and 4 hymns. Played Ode to joy at the end. To Timpson's to get watch strap.
