Funeral

Liz ot Guys. Sm, B, Southwark. To St Mary's got there at 10 so went to Mass and came out early expecing choir to turn up at 10.30. About 10.45 people started drifting in. Penny was late so we actually started singing hymns at 11.15! Eldon was very helpful and found the Schubert on his tablet in D - quite awkward to play! As it happens Nice was much happier singing the Gounod in C- she has good bottom notes. I played Griffiths, Vierne, Nimrod and Pie Jesu. Several priests there. Saw Angela and Arthur. AN Anglican priest on sanctuary. Penny having not conducted the rehearsal at all took over and some things were much slower e.g. How great thou art! One disaster - my mobile which I had forgotten about went off the alarm for meditation at 1 so Sanctus was said! Met 2 priests from Wimbedon afterwards. Watched Lives on stage 3. Root and branch was great with Baroness Kennedy and Christina Rees. Croydon climate action zoom.

Thursday slept in. Chat to Fuzzy - more OJs have died. SM, Swk and B. Churches conservation trust Fulham palace, Signed agreement with Jack. Tried to find car fuses! SMITF 9/11 20th anniversary. Piano practice. Leicester cathedral organ recital David resolutely did not give the titles of the pieces! Irritating! Excellent LSi zoom with 2 newcomers. Mother and baby squirrel in garden. David got the fuse out - very awkward for me. Prom St Matthew Passion Matthew Rose as Jesus very aggressive. Chorales and final chorus too fast. Soloists all very good. Roderick Williams sang with real feeling.

Friday SM, B and Southwark. To Halfords to get fuses. Hoovered upstairs. Dan Soper playing brilliantly at St Edmundsbury cathedral. Root and branch from Bristol with Ursula Kng, the parish choir and Mary McAleese excellent - an historic speech. The speakers all great. Both Bristol bishops. The Prom was the Goldberg variations - amazing followed with my score. Would I lie to you? Come dine with me. Strange pain on right of tummy like I had pulled a muscle. David put in new fuse.
