Ramadan

 Thursday 12 March. Interview on Voice of Islam about prayer in daily life, Went well. I'm no expert on this but I do try. To art and more or less finished the Bedington incinerator picture. Just waiting for Ella foundation to get back to me and Mums for lungs. It's been well received. Swam 20. Sean came and downstairs loo needs a cap (after 40 years it leaks?) He also looked at wallpaper in lounge. Good animators meeting with Jane Mellett on Cop 30. To iftar at town hall and read part of Pope Leo's message for Lent which was well received. Nice food. Apprentice. 

Friday lots of people at Unacc. It was a special £8 day. An exhausting trip to V and A East which is amazing. When you come out of Stratford station go in the direction of Queen Elizabeth park and Westfield. TfL do not tell you this!! Eventually found the 388 bus at Stratford City bus station. Not sure I want to do this trek again! I came back via Farringdon and just missed my train to NJ. Result started zoom on mobile phone and 15 people did not get in as I was driving home. We did discuss 4 main points for the letter to the new Archbishop and Dominic agreed to send it. Big cats was good but fell asleep. Would I lie to you?

Saturday to Farm Street Aula Magna for Pax Christi day on non-violence. Lots of people I know including Bishop Jim, Richard Nesbit, Anita, Melanie, Elizabeth, Paola and met James from the Columbans. Mass at Anerley. Henry came - he was 9 this week. Bruce arrived. Good old days.

At Beckenham Methodist played Bach Ich ruf zu dir, Erbarm dich and Fantasia in C minor. A good sermon by Revd Karen. Mothers day so flowers given out. Bishop Christopher was at SJ. At evensong Philip Moore setting Litany to the Holy Spirit Peter Hurford Stainer God so loved the world - always reminds me of Owain Arwell Hughes! Did a lot of the jigsaw Henry chose yesterday - some of it was already fitted together. Evensong from New College. The other Bennet sister very funny. New draft of letter to Archbishop Richard with 4 main points.

Monday woke at 7 Ann not available so back to bed and slept until nearly 11 so no swim. Cleaned kitchen floor. Amended the letter. Janet Suzman on playing Hedda Gabler. Leg is much better thanks to the heat beanbag. Wrote a short article about my Ramadan experiences. Mastermind, Call my bluff, University challenge, Face the music. Liz taken to and picked up with Sue from UCM Anerley. Did not go to Brahms Requiem rehearsal.
