First week of Lent

Monday started with looking at videos and texts on urodynamics. It does not sound pleasant but if it has to be done so be it! Colette's group zoom was useful and much enthusiasm about Global Healing. I watched Polina Sosnina playing at Cornhill - Bach, Thalben-Ball and Whitlock - very accomplished! Imogen Morgan at Peterborough.  I watched Nelson's video 5 and completed the cathedral! It fell apart at the end - it's quite fragile. Webinar on South Norwood library so missed prommers zoom and Liz had WMUK group. Peter Batty gave an excellent London tour/talk Saints and Scholars on zoom. I felt shivery - I think I ate dinner too fast as I went to bed and had wind.

Tuesday felt OK. Good zoom with Caterham and they are very keen for me to return so agreed on March 21. Holy Week services will be short so only Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Lovely LMP new friends zoom. Blackfriars. My day upside-down! Only connect and university challenge. Quiet time. Bargue course and some progress but it's tiring and slow. Bidding room. 3 programmes on Edinburgh zoo.

Belmont Abbey retreat on listening was excellent. Meditation. Cleaned behind bed and turned mattress. Murray Watson on Choraqui and his translation of the NT at Sion Centre. Most of Queen of Spades 1999 with Domingo, Soderstrom and Dmitri at Met. Lovely production. SMITF Bread for the world and sharing group -  a few said very little.

Thursday I had spoken of John East's death last week at the group and in the night I had a dream about his Latin missal which his niece kindly gave me. Can I find it? No - did I give it to the cathedral? 4 zooms today which is too much. Blackfriars and music from SMITF. SLIFG Andrew Wilson showed 2 short films and a very good discussion on mental health. I forgot to record it! Animators heard from Maria Elena about Live simply. Catholic action Michael Holman on child abuse and theology. How interesting that theology about children is so undeveloped. The second Global healing went really well - 427 there. It seems 800 have signed up so they can get recording and handouts. Jane and Marie did really well. I read the gospel passage. Ann Marie and Henry brought fish and chips.

Friday Blackfriars and St Martin's Morning song. David Dunnett playing at Norwich - Buxtehude, Howells, Widor. Tammas Slater at Gonville and Caius - Alain, Sweelinck - impressive. He had a work performed at the Proms aged 14. Leafblower - nice and sunny so only the bit where the shed stuff is needs doing. Bidding room, Edinburgh zoo.

Saturday Blackfriars, Nazareth walk Canary Wharf. Hurtado excellent meditation with Fr Michael on Jesus starting his work. Funeral of Captain Sir Tom Moore on BBC News from Bedford. Callum Alger playing Alain, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn. Met anniversary and Royal collection. Didn't do drawing - too tired and Liz had not seen the 2 new videos from Nelson. Watched New York city ballet Prodigal Son music by Prokofiev and Balanchine. I would feel happier if it was closer to the original parable especially the father running to the returning son which did not happen! Love and politics Verdi was disappointing. Norlandsoper. Watching Blown away on Netflix about glass blowing.
