Gresham lecture Why net zero? Triads. To evensong at St John's Harris Come down O love divine and canticles in A minor. A homily and no second hymn! Norman was playing. Strictly, Antiques roadshow, Frozen planet.

Monday back to the pool. B and S. Missed SM as hearing aid came apart again! Spidir commttee. 5th Covid jab (it was good that I booked as passed the queue!) and posted calendar to Ann and Paul. Very costly to do this now. SM quite time and lecture with Bernard Lynch and Peter Tatchell. Liz to UCM.

Tuesday no swim. My arm was sore from the jab and I did not sleep so well. To St Hugh Bermondsey for Spidir session with Judith Russenberger on spirituality and the climate crisis. Lively discussions. To Southwark cathedral to see Gaia which is most impressive. Voted in NT elections.

Wed swim. The William Kentridge exhibition at the RA is worth a visit. I recognised a lot of Johannesburg scenes. A lively discussion at Westminster cathedral interfaith group and we hope to screen The Letter in Kensington. Wrote article about yesterday's session. I was not best pleased when I sent it to Judith who offered to do a paraphrase! I think the whole thing should be published! We were due to go to Cafe Rouge but they cancelled - no gas! Zero hour zoom. Shocking behaviour in the chamber over the no fracking Bill. The govt is disarray. Repair shop.

To View from the Shard my birthday present - fantastic and sun going down. Tower bridge opening! 17 bus to St Paul's excellent meal at Cafe Rouge. Lucky to get in as only one chef on! Home on train. Garlic mushrooms, poulet and lemon tart.

Friday swim. Did not go to Unacc. Henry not coming next week so both upset about that. To King's t see Dr James Teo - operation on knee unlikely, he checked my foot and will suggest another medicine for bladder emptying. Music list for Nov done. The Abbey series on TV.

Sat SM in St James park, S. Chat to Ann. ACTA online conference and good speakers especially on youth involvement. I facilitated a group. To Streatham Hill and practised organ after Mass. Fr Valentine is so grateful and delighted! Strictly.

Sun a great relief to find the organ working - the problem on the swell is a voltage issue so will need to be fixed. Played part of the Franck Choral no 3 after all - did not get warning light and checked it afterwards and it is working. Susan apologised and said bell ringers want to ring right up to the start of the remembrance day service so no organ beforehand. This was agreed at the Grow meeting so what was the point of going to the meeting! Not happy. Rehearsed for evensong. Lynda did not come. RVW O how amiable leaving out 2 pages which are too high!

Awake in the night again so no swim. Nice chat to Clare. University challenge. Sion centre on forgiveness.

Thursday again no swim. After art to Beavers to choose carpets. Cooked and washing, Excellent animators meeting with 5 new people and showings of the film planned! We both went to the Cafod showing of The Letter at Christ Church Spitalfields from Shoreditch High Street. On arrival the security man brought us chairs as we waited. It was excellent seeing it again and meeting Austen Evereigh, Joseph, Sr Kate, Damian, Edward and John Paul, Operation Noah folk. Austen mentioned the animators in the discussion with Lorna Gold (who wants to come to one of our zooms), the composer, Martin Palmer and guy from CAFOD. When we went to leave the security guy showed us the lift but he did not come downstairs with us. The first door I tried labelled fire exit opened but there was a large object blocking opening it more! Then went out of another door which closed behind us and we found ourselves locked in a large courtyard with gates in the dark, Knocked on rectory door. A man arrived on a bike who let us out - we think it was the vicar!! I wrote to tell them what happened.

Friday swim. Unacc Triniti away for 2 weeks next month. Minutes of meeting and caught up on emails. To Streatham Hill. All went well apart from announcements over the Dubois Toccata (twice!) I am not a jukebox! The clergy enjoyed singing Missa de angelis! Cantor was good (Valentine's godson). Saw Fr David but not Fr Adrian. Met Fr Habte. Very noisy in hall. Garden covered in lights. There were so many awards given out!! Glad it was OK.
