TuesdayA day full of wonders! To the Ukrainian Catholic cathedral the 4th anniversary of the invasion. Beautiful singing and playing saw Bishop Jim Curry. Meditation and a stimulating conversation about praying from the heart and compassion. Abrar centre spoke about fasting and discussion about Quran. Did you know Oriental orthodox fast until 3pm or sunset vegan diet in Lent?

To Beckenham Methodist to practise and had lunch then first Lent group on Richard Harries book on morality. To David Lean cinema to see Hamnet - a moving film. Lent group at St Martin in the Fields with Neil Macgregor on Bassano painting The good samaritan. What a good group discussion!

Thursday Liz went to Kew to see the diamonds. SO pleased she can go ahead for the DBS but why did we have to wait so long for a decision? Safeguarding Southwark Archdiocese are incompetent. To art and more work on the air pollution painting. Rang Sterling. To leisure centre and made a fuss about no aerobics and got onto Barbara's What's app. Swam 20. Friday took Liz to doctor's and we had lunch at UNACC. I asked about classes and chatted to Triniti. It seems Barbara is on sick leave having hurt her ankle but she again mentioned giving up. Triniti found Sad song for me on Spotify. Liz drove the car home fine. Completed the attendance allowance form and Sterling withdrawal form. Father Brown and Would I lie to you? The Greens won the by-election!!! Catena sadly published the original painting photo in the report!

Saturday Liz went to breadmaking at Brixton windmill. SM Enflied walk, Hurtado and SM . Fr Joseph back from holiday and 44 today. I invited him to the Town Hall iftar. Worked on presentation. Problem with the sound track cutting out. Good old days. Attack on Iran.

40 lengths on Thursday and Friday. Busy at work with survey. Fell asleep during "The history of Christianity" part 1 on BBC4. Friday to Catenian clergy supper - 70 at Addington Palace golf club but not many Norwood brothers or clergy. Picked up Fr Sixtus at St Chad's and Fr Tim Dean from the cathedral at East Croydon which was very busy because of rain! Fr Tim spoke well and enjoyed the evening which was too long thanks to a raffle. Good meal - roast beef. Home at 11.45! Woke early and lie-in - Liz fed up as I was out again this time for St Andrew's day on outreach at the very attractive Holy Trinity centre, Wallington where Freda Curtis's funeral was held. An interesting discussion in small groups and useful. Home to find a match on so parked outside Hyacinth's and tried to find reason for water overflowing onto back roof - baffling!

Guernsey 2

Sunday enjoyed chatting to Peter and Edna Morgan from Basingstoke and he loves Parry I was glad and organ music. He worked in Dubai. Mass at the hotel hardly any singing then coffee. Another lovely day pity the pool was closed. Drove round North coast Rousse tower, Fort Pembroke, Fort le Marchant, Fort Doyle and marina. Earlswood garden centre for tea and lemon cake. Motorcross on beach. Very warm in our room hence a cough. Pizzas from the bar long wait but good. Watched Antiques roadshow, Blue planet live, Victoria. Monday breakfast with Peter and Edna. To Ladies bay and walked round Delaunay Park. Mass at noon for the Annunciation at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Polish priest. Interesting circular wooden altar and evangelists in wood like Steyning or Oberammergau. Guernsey museum to see photos Chimera. Cream tea and bought soapstone elephant and gifts.
