Family photo

Hoovered after a lie-in. The snow went by lunchtime as it was sunny. To St Edmund's Beckenham to practise for the recital on Feb 7 (changed from Jan 31). Eventually got the organ key so spent time on registration. The console has been turned round so the organist can be seen. Mostly sounded great - it is a Wyvern. Liz had gone to King's to see Grandma and Dennis went straight there. I picked up Liz and we went to Vespers (very few clergy there -only 2) and Mass with Fr Tim who was unwell. To Louise's and delivered 2 big bags. Ciarán now has a lovely cot and had enjoyed his first swim - sweet little swimsuits! He was smiling. Bruce was there as well so we got a family photo! I slept on way home as Liz drove. Bruce missed his train so came for the night and left early Sunday.

Clergy supper and outreach at Coulsdon

40 lengths on Thursday and Friday. Busy at work with survey. Fell asleep during "The history of Christianity" part 1 on BBC4. Friday to Catenian clergy supper - 70 at Addington Palace golf club but not many Norwood brothers or clergy. Picked up Fr Sixtus at St Chad's and Fr Tim Dean from the cathedral at East Croydon which was very busy because of rain! Fr Tim spoke well and enjoyed the evening which was too long thanks to a raffle. Good meal - roast beef. Home at 11.45! Woke early and lie-in - Liz fed up as I was out again this time for St Andrew's day on outreach at the very attractive Holy Trinity centre, Wallington where Freda Curtis's funeral was held. An interesting discussion in small groups and useful. Home to find a match on so parked outside Hyacinth's and tried to find reason for water overflowing onto back roof - baffling!

Guernsey 2

Sunday enjoyed chatting to Peter and Edna Morgan from Basingstoke and he loves Parry I was glad and organ music. He worked in Dubai. Mass at the hotel hardly any singing then coffee. Another lovely day pity the pool was closed. Drove round North coast Rousse tower, Fort Pembroke, Fort le Marchant, Fort Doyle and marina. Earlswood garden centre for tea and lemon cake. Motorcross on beach. Very warm in our room hence a cough. Pizzas from the bar long wait but good. Watched Antiques roadshow, Blue planet live, Victoria. Monday breakfast with Peter and Edna. To Ladies bay and walked round Delaunay Park. Mass at noon for the Annunciation at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Polish priest. Interesting circular wooden altar and evangelists in wood like Steyning or Oberammergau. Guernsey museum to see photos Chimera. Cream tea and bought soapstone elephant and gifts.
