Heythrop conference
On X68 at 7.30 having woken early. Lots of people at Senate House - nice to see old friends including Saira. Peter Tyler will look for my file! The history talk was OK, the library one rather dull, then we had an excellent one on Jesuits and classical education. Saw Allen Morris. After lunch when I had a look at the small exhibitions of books we had Nicholas Sagovksy on Gerard Manley Hopkins, Guy Consolmagno on science (excellent) and John Haldane on philosophy. Left early to get X68 back and to St John's for Corpus Christi. Mozart Spatzen Mass with orchestra and Panis. Lovely cello and the timps were terrific.
