Busy week ahead

 Swam 20. Fr Tom was there again! SM and S. B. Liz went to have arm X-rayed. Platinum jubilee horse show. Jay Blades on Hackney history. Decided not to go to Cornhill to hear Jane Watts play. Edward de Quay has come to life! Seems I sent him too many emails! SMITF meditation. LSi' institute Emmanuel Katangole on Who owns the land? Liz went to UCM. Fell asleep watching Animal Park. 

Tuesday 17th SM. To Newton Honda so the mirror and light could be replaced. £136! When I went to collect it it was cleaned and a bar of chocolate! To St Hugh Bermondsey for SPIDIR course - Danny, Antonio and Chris there and met Breda and others. Richard Carter was so inspiring. Very hot. Lecture on The Fountain of life by Prof Ellen Davis. Clare came. B. St Paul's conversation about science and religion Tom McLeish. Theatrical knights on TV. R and B prayer for abused and survivors. Jay Blades in Hackney.

Wednesday SM, S and B. Gresham how to vale stocks. Finished jubilee painting! To cathedral for interfaith group 5 came.  Alan Rainer seems to have lost it! Sri Lankan guy did not have the book and dropped off. It was hot! Evensong from Durham but I am not hearing well. Ears to be syringed on Friday and I have ordered new moulds and tubing. Sewing Bee and Repair shop. 

Thursday swam 20 - it was quite busy. B, SM and S. To Caterham for funeral taken by Canon Trevor Mapstone from St Mary's who is very nice. He checked the mike and I showed him the warning switch. The odd thing was the family came in with the coffin and I had to play hymns in and out. The two hymns were not really sung! So all over in 20 minutes! Turned out very sunny. Martin Renshaw on church liturgy in 1512s very interesting especially the organ builder bit! Scottish art with Lachlan. Fetched compost from Clare's porch. Art fund discussion on future of museums. Programme on Webster. Henry came for a bath. Repair shop. 

Friday B. Zoom with Sr Zoe. To West Wickham to have ears syringed - immediate improvement. Then to hygienist at dentist and she gave me brush and paste to clean my dentures. To UNACC for exercises - 3 new people. Home for lunch and BBQ at Louise's is off so go for lunch on Sunday. Ben Johnson singing Bruch and RVW. Composer of the week. Gresham on Soviet music in 1948. To Mary and Ed's to see Malcolm and Ursula. Lovely chat. 

Sat we got all 9 Proms and we are both going as we have disabled parking at the hall!! Catenian webinar was interesting. To All Saints West Dulwich to see beautiful icons by Aidan Hart and his students. Then to 13A Therapia Road to see Andrew Carter's lovely work and so nice to chat to Richard, Matthew and his sister. Lovely small garden and prosecco - what a treat in the sunshine! Liz baked a cake for Henry's jubilee party at school. Mass at West Norwood Fr Julian Shurgold has arrived there. He has a good voice and is looking for readers and servers! Ensemble 26 concert at St John's was lovely. Boulanger, Satie, Ravel and Faure piano quartet No 1.

Started the day by spilling cup of tea on my best trousers. Played preludes on St Columba by Stanford and Willan, we sang Sing God's Easter people sing. Worthy is the Lamb and the whole Amen chorus! We went to Acton for a delicious BBQ in the newly completed patio. Lovely!
