Interfaith

 Blackfriars. A long day on zoom with IFnetwork - a lot to take in. Day of recollection so we had silence at 12 and we shone our torches at the door at 8 but nobody else in the street did! Nelson forgot the Brague so to Glasgow for discussion with Cardinal Fitzgerald who was in my breakout room. Delightful talk about the Abbey with Dr John Hall and he answered my question really well mentioning Mark and Canon Christopher and Rabbi Julia Neuberger. Drawers off. Gresham lecture on spying for Queen and country Robert Cecil and the modern period. 

Tuesday Blackfriars. An excellent retreat morning on truth at Belmont and Ignatian spirituality with Rosemary Moffat. Henry and Ann-Marie brought us delicious birthday cake from Ann-Marie's 40th. Bed changed. Repair shop and Drawers off. Fr Tom rang. Vespers from Belmont Annunciation. SMITF Bread for the world and Lent sharing group. They are having a Palm procession! Nobody else is? Tom |Winpenny playing at St Alban's and Callum Alger playing Durufle.

Wednesday one long zoom again! Blackfriars, SMITF just the music. St John's zoom did not open. Briefing about London Climate action week impressive. SLIFG Sheila was excellent and committee went well too. Laudato Si' animators finally got in. Drawers off. Gresham lecture on Prokofiev piano music. Churches trust on the Annunciation in medieval art Fr Jeremy Haselock. Last GH session 290 there. More people got in touch. Live Simply explained by Paul Kelly. 

Woke late after a bad night with 2 trips to the loo! Blackfriars and SMITG morning song. Watched latest Southwark diocese video. Booked 2nd vaccination. Dennis and Ann-Marie brought milk. Zoom for diocesan contacts went well and welcomed some newcomers. Ahmaddiya mosque zoom couldn't really listen. Drawers off won by Husna. Four in a bed final. To surgery to get Liz's letter for hospital next week if she goes. Call my agent.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
