Friday 10th July I got cross with the Uber driver as he took us to the wrong side of Penge East station. Eventually he did take us to the right side and we paid slightly more. Bth trains were delayed but we had assistance. Taxi to ocean terminal All went smoothlyand we ate at the Lido. Our cabin is on Beethoven deck 4 and we have a balcony. Near the front of the ship.  Wednesday July 1 swam 10 in slow lane. One guy swam into a lady - he was on his back. Just too many people in the water! To Beck Meth to practise and saw David. Have more dates. Train very crowded. The airbnb in Queen Street is lovely. To Aldi to shop and watched Wimbledon and Outrageous,  Friday bus to Preston,  A fascinating visit to Preston to meet the diocesan environmental lead Stephen Garsed. His house is remarkable and very green. His parish has Pope Francis quotes on the walls. Ladyewell is old fashioned but has lots of treasures about the martyrs. Sat to Lancaster cathedral for the diaconal ordination of Paul Briers with 2 others. Singing and organ good. Bishop gave a good homily. Tea and coffee in the social centre.  Wed June 10 ttok Liz to GP so no swim. To Mortlake RC 13 came and Tharik took us inside the tomb which is fascinating. Lady Isobelle sat in there with camel bells, incense and candles and had Mass and seances! Fr Adrian tour of the church and provided refreshments. Lovely to see him again.   Manchester staying at Luther King house with it’s pretty fountain. Japanese prints at Whitworth gallery, Pankhurst house very interesting , Manchester museum Human natures and Asian section.  The stewards led an interesting service on prayer. The second hymn was a video and not easy to join in.  Thursday  Decided to use our Kew membership and loved seeing the tulips and cherry blossom also the amazing paintings of Marianne North and the Singh sisters. The latter finishes on the 12th I think and it’s a brilliant indictment of the British in India. To Waterloo as trains were disrupted. Abandned going to Tate modern and hosted the Lsiuk zoom from the bar at Festival Hall and had a pizza there. To Network theatre under Waterloo station to see Max in Cosi fan tutte. Everybody was Brilliant! Adrian Terence and Fr John were there and it was great fun! Home by 11.  Friday 10 April to Unacc and had lunch. Coming home was complicated by roadworks everywhere and took Liz to Age UK for Mad Hatter's tea party. Mick came and then Hyacinth and John who is doing the IT at the funeral.
