Another day

 Blackfriars, St Martin's, Walsingham Up at 9.30. Chat to Clare was excellent. St Michael's 2 carol services. It was lovely to have a zoom with prommers and Liz joined in. Guildford and Winchester evensong bits, Gotterdammerung 2012 from the Met with Deborah Voight amazing production. Only connect. Liz's temperature still up and down. She is bored. 

Started Tuesday woke at 815 feeling down and tired and fed up with no physical contact and long evenings alone. Blackfriars, St Martin's, Walsingham. Vicar of Dibley cheered me up and who knew Dawn French has done short ones during lockdown? Ordered slippers for Liz. Cleaned shower mat and kitchen floor. Quiet time was weird - no chat with me at all! Spoke to Bruce but phone needed charging. I was frying mushrooms in butter. Chat to Louise, Dennis and Liz. Enjoyed 3 organists recital. Jonathan Holmes played really well live at Ewell. Could not get into Bromley circle zoom but I was very late. Compline from Blackfriars. Songs of Praise 10 favourite carols topped by O holy night which is not congregational! No 10 was O come O come Emmanuel. Christmas university challenge.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
