 Woke at 5. B, SM and S. Wrote letter to SLIFG. To dentist front tooth taken out with some difficulty and new temporary denture. Feels different on palate but I will cope. Jack was due to zoom but had food poisoning so postponed to tomorrow afternoon. Rested and Gresham lecture on portraits and biographies, Olmec Mexican civilisation. Joe Lycett Who do you think you are. Woodworking. Steam train York to Edinburgh. Stunning scenery.

Woke at 5 (again!) Nazareth walk in Kensington gardens, S and B. Watched a bit of the vigil from Glasgow but it was rather dull. To Catford for the blessing of Nick Wibberley's new shop which is lovely. Nice to meet Roger again. Fr Anthony spoke about Isabella Ghawi. Got back OK despite football traffic. Zoom with Jack and agreed changes to script. Sarah was delayed returning from Bosnia. Jersey zoo. Merton college evensong. Pembrokeshire nature.

Sunday was exhausting. Played Giazotto Adagio and Howells Set 1 no 3. The theme was thanks. The big surprise was being presented with a lovely ceramic tankard with my photo at the console, champage and a card signed by all. I was so chuffed! Sarah organised it and she wasn't there! Coffee. Practised for next 2 Sundays. Jack could not make the zoom but I went to Sarah's and went through the script with her. She wants Rizwan to speak so agreed to that. He is still being ridiculous about the lunch. The poster is finally done. I vetoed carols - cannot have singing. I got back and took Liz to sing at evensong. I was desperate for tea and a rest so came home. Adrian gave her a lift home. Nicola Benedetti on BBC and the Korngold concerto. Britten sea interludes. The Larkins. Strictly results and Adam has gone. Evensong from Armagh.

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
