Hand registration

After work drove to Holy Trinity Clapham which is a church I have often wanted to enter as it is connected with Wilberforce and the Clapham sect who we remember this year particularly. Dr Harry Bramma spoke and demonstrated on the splendid organ the art of registration by hand as opposed to piston. I do do this quite a bit and of course it is more authentic as Anthony le Fleming who plays at this splendid church commented. 34 lengths this morning and for once drove to work and no holdups at all!

sounds cool! But tell me, why is this... why is the Clapham sect being particularly remembered this year. I'm embarrassed that I don't know.

Dear Rob, The Clapham sect were partially responsible for the bill which aimed to abolish slavery and we are celebrating the 200th anniversary of that bill! Many events all over the country!

Vigil

 Saturday a memorable day. SM walk in Muswell Hill. To Parliament and met up with Kate, Lyn and Graham. So many people and buggies! The tourist trade has clearly revived. Glad I took my chair and the 2 hours went quickly. Ecological Stations and Rosary and Laudate Deum meditation. William Rhind and animators came. Sean and Ciaran came and Louise and Tom went to a party in Coulsdon. We went to Mass and I spoke to the lady from CAFOD. Petition nearly at 1000! Sunday Lent 1 Played Demessieux on Attende domine which Linda and I sang. Prelude and fughetta Franck. A mosy enjoyable family lunch at Westow House. Lamb and lemon posset. Had a sleep! Evensong Howells Like as the hart. Wierd hymn Christian dost thou see them to St Andrew of Crete by Dykes. Throwdown was good. Ben Fogle in the Congo. Antiques roadshow.
